Setup Guide

Step 1: Setup your new Peregrine appliance

Perform the procedures as detailed in this Setup Guide, Chapter 5, Install and

Start Network Discovery. If your new appliance will have the same IP address as

the old appliance, do not connect the new appliance to the network yet. You will

do that later in this process.

Step 2: On your old appliance, do an internal backup

Click Administration > Backup and restore > Run internal backup now.

If you cannot perform this step, you will restore data from the last time the old

appliance did an automatic internal backup (which occurs daily after midnight).

Note: This action will also initiate an external backup if one has been

configured.
