5. Enter the name you want to
have appear on the display
(see “Entering Characters
for Display Entries” on
page 2-20).
6. Press HOLD/SAVE to save
the entry.
- The name will now
appear on your display.
Entering Characters for Display Entries
In addition to using the dialpad to enter numbers on the display, You may need
to use it to also enter text when using various features that allow you to enter
text on the display (such as Station Name Programming, Pre-selected
Messages, Phonebook entries, and Speed Dialing entries).
Use the table below to locate the letter, number, and symbol codes that
allow you to enter text on your display.
Example: To enter the name MARY, you would use the dialpad to enter
the number series: 61 (for M), 21 (for A), 73 (for R), and 93
(for Y).
