Account Codes

An account code is used to identify outgoing (external) calls for accounting and billing purposes. Account code are used for each station so that your company can identify and bill (where applicable) calls made from each station.

Therefore, if account codes are used by your company, you will have your own code. Account Codes can be entered before or during a call.

Note: If you enter an account code during a conversation, the other party will be momentarily placed on hold. Also, an account code may contain as many as twelve digits.

After dialing or during a conversation with an external party:

1.Press the hook-switch.

2.Enter 550, then enter the appropriate account code.

3.Press the hook-switch again.

4.Continue your call.

Authorization Codes

You might be assigned an authorization code that gives you the ability to make calls on restricted phone line keys. Authorization codes are used to override access restrictions.

A long beep after you dial a number may indicate the need to enter an authorization code. Contact your System Administrator for more information.

If an Authorization Codes is required for your phone:

1.Dial a phone number. When you hear a the (long) tone:

2.Enter the authorization code assigned to you, then press # to continue your call.
