Chapter 2: Using the 24-Button Digital Phone

Voice Over

This feature allows you, while on a current call, to simultaneously accept an "announcement" from a station that has camped-on to your extension (see“Camp-On” on page 2-38). You can converse with the camped on station without your distant party hearing. You can also toggle between the camped on station and your caller. However, the camped on user and your caller cannot speak to each other.

Example: You have asked a co-worker to find some information that you need to provide to a current caller. Once your co-worker has found the information he can camp on to your busy station.

At that point, you can accept the Voice Over and speak to your co-worker without your caller hearing. You can then switch back and forth between your co-worker and your caller to gather and deliver information.

Hint: You can use Hold/Save to toggle back and forth between these two calls.
