RMON event configuration

The following table describes the RMON Event commands.

rmon event <1-65535>description

Enter a text string to describe the event.

<1-127 characters>

The description can have a maximum of 127 characters.

 

 

Command mode: Global configuration

 

 

rmon event <1-65535>type

Selects the type of notification provided for this event. For log

<logtrapboth>

events, an entry is made in the log table and sent to the

 

configured syslog host. For trap events, an SNMP trap is sent to

 

the management station.

 

Command mode: Global configuration

 

 

rmon event <1-65535>owner <1-127

Enter a text string that identifies the person or entity that uses this

characters>

event index.

 

The owner can have a maximum of 127 characters.

 

Command mode: Global configuration

 

 

no rmon event <1-65535>

Deletes this event index.

 

Command mode: Global configuration

 

 

show rmon event

Displays the current RMON Event parameters.

 

Command mode: All
