Set

Power

On

Password:

Setting a power-on password helps protect

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

information stored in your computer. You can use any combination of up to eight

characters

(A–Z,

a–z, and 0–9) for your password. The password you

type

is

not

displayed

on

the

screenE .ter Presswhen you are

finished;

1. If

to disable an installed power-on password

re-enables

power-on

unless it has been removed in the System

Services

Utilities or by

 

 

removing

the

password, you can erase the password by shutting down

system

unit and

removing the

battery

for

at

least

30

seconds. See

3. The system unit power cable must be disconnected before removing the battery.
