The Notch and Partition page contains parameters for drives that i mplement a variable
number of sectors per cylinder, and, support this page. Each section of the logical unit
with a differ ent number o f secto rs is re ferr ed to as a notch (or band). Each not ch must
span a set of consecutive logic al blocks in the logical unit, the notches must not
overl ay, and no logic al bloc ks can be e xcluded f rom the not che s. The data for mat a nd
field descriptions are described in Table 5-74 and Table 5-75 respectively.
