Line Terminator To minimize the voltage drop in the connection, it is advisable to use a higher line

Resistance terminator resistance for high length cables than that specified by the standard ISO11898-2. When configuring the system, the connector resistances must also be taken into consideration. For each connector, 5 mΩ to 20 mΩ must be added to the terminator resistance.

The potential difference at the CAN_GND connections of all the CANopen bus items must not be greater than 2 VDC. The connectors have a standard DC of

5mΩ to 20 mΩ. It is important to connect a 120 Ω line terminator between CAN_H and CAN_L at the line end (see Physical Layer, p. 49).

Failure to follow this instruction can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.
