4 Caring for Your Printer

Overview

This chapter describes the following tasks to care for your printer and keep it in peak operating condition:

■Adding ink

When the front panel displays the message that tells you to add ink, or when the ink-level icon shows half-full or empty.

■Changing the fuser wiper

When you open a new box of black ColorStix ink sticks.

■Emptying the waste bin

When the front panel message tells you to empty the bin.

■Cleaning the printer

Describes how to clean the drum, paper clamp, paper tension blade, three paper-pick rollers inside the printer, the fuser roller, and the feed rollers.
