MIf DHCP is selected, select MANUAL (make sure the IP
address and Default Gateway are all blanks or zeros)
MIf MANUAL is selected, set the static IP address and
Default Gateway to all zeros or blanks
3Reboot the controller.
4Configure the wired networking on the controller via the
ADMIN>NETWORK SETTING button on the front panel.
nSelect NETBEUI and select ENABLE (press NO if asked to
reboot)
nSelect IPX/SPX and select ENABLE (press NO if asked to
reboot)
nSelect APPLETALK and select ENABLE (press NO when asked to
reboot)
nEnable TCP/IP
MFor DHCP or a fixed IP address, set a valid static IP
address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS and WINS
servers accordingly and reboot the controller. If DHCP is
desired, press DHCP via the ADMIN>NETWORK SET-
TING>DHCP button on the front panel and reboot the con-
troller
5Perform a test print.
Switching back to wireless networking (the wireless
card is already installed)
1Remove the network cable from the controller.
2Press FACTORY DEFAULT in the Admin tab of the copier front
panel and reboot the controller. Wait until the controller
prints a Startup Page before you continue.
3Configure the wireless (Wi-Fi) settings for the Cisco card as
appropriate for your wireless network (e.g. SSID, Network
Type and Transmit Power via the ADMIN>WIRELESS
SETTINGS>WIRELESS buttons on the front panel). Ensure to
select either the Infrastructure or Ad Hoc network type as
desired.
4If the Infrastructure network type was selected, verify the Wi-
Fi connection by viewing the transfer rate on the front panel.
The panel will indicate either Not Connected or display the
current transfer rate.
