Configuring an ANG-3000/7000

Configuring OSPF on an Interface

To enable OSPF on an interface, perform the following steps:

1Add OSPF as described in “Adding or Removing a Routing Protocol for an Interface” on page 60 or select OSPF from the Routing Protocols list and click Properties.

The OSPF Interface Configuration window appears as shown in

Figure 37.

2Type the OSPF password used by routers on your network in the Authentication Password field.

OSPF authentication passwords are used by routers to determine if they should accept updated routing information sent from another router. If your routers do not authenticate updates, leave this field blank.

NOTE

Passwords are limited to 8 characters or less

3Type the same password in the Re-Type Authentication Password field exactly as you entered it in Step 2.
