*STB?

Query the summary (condition) register in this register group. This command is similar to a Serial Poll but it is processed like any other instrument command. This command returns the same result as

a Serial Poll but the “Master Summary” bit (bit 6) cleared if a Serial Poll has occurred.

*SRE <zv

*SRE?

Enable bits in the enable register in this register group. A *CLS

(clear status)

clear the enable register but it does clear all bits

in the event register. A STATus:PRESet y

clear the bits in the

Status Byte enable register. To enable bits in the enable register, you must write a decimal value which corresponds to the binary-weighted sum of the bits you wish to enable in the register.

The *SRE? query returns a decimal value which corresponds to the binary-weighted sum of all bits enabled by the *SRE command.
