To Upgrade the Analyzer Software

To Upgrade Software Using Diskettes

From the Upgrade Software Menu, type 1; then press Enter to display the Upgrade Software Using Diskettes screen.

1 Insert each diskette provided into drive A on the PC according to the instructions on the screen.

2 Press Enter.

	Press Enter. When you have correctly installed the software, the message,
	Upgrade complete appears.
	If the upgrade does not work, the message Upgrade failed appears. If
	you cannot reboot the system, that is, you cannot even access the
	previous version of the software, restore the latest version of the software
	from a backup. See “To Restore Files” on page 1-25.
	Switch off the analyzer power for ﬁve seconds (see “To Switch the
	Analyzer On and Off” on page 1-22).
Caution	The upgrade does not take place until after you reboot the analyzer.
	Log in to the analyzer (see “To Log In to the Analyzer” on page 2-11);
	then back up the analyzer to the notebook PC to the c:\usr directory
	(see “To Back Up Files from the Analyzer to a Notebook PC” on
	page 1-24).
