•HP Matrix Operating Environment for HP-UX

VM Manager is installed as part of Matrix Operating Environment for HP-UX that runs under HP Systems Insight Manager on a server reserved for use as a central management server (CMS). The CMS can run on HP-UX or Windows platforms. HP Systems Insight Manager serves as the central point of administration for complete resource-lifecycle management for multi-OS environments. You access VM Manager from a browser that can connect over the network to the CMS. The CMS allows you to manage multiple Integrity VMs (VM Hosts and each of their virtual machines) that are discovered by HP Systems Insight Manager. Figure 2 shows how VM Manager is configured and used with HP Matrix Operating Environment (Matrix OE) and HP Systems Insight Manager.
