7.Insert the hard drive carrier into the optical disk drive bay cage until it reaches the release latch. Pull the latch and slide the drive carrier into the chassis, past the latch.

Release the latch and then slide the assembly further into the chassis until it snaps into place 2 as shown in the following figure.

8.Connect the power and data 2 cables to the drive as shown in the following figure.

If the hard disk drive is SAS, attach a SATA-SAS adapter to the drive before connecting the data cable.

9.Ensure that the other end of the data cable is connected to the proper HDD data connector on the system board.

10.Reinstall all removed components and reconnect any cables that have been disconnected.
