Installing a PCI card

1.Disconnect power from the workstation (see Predisassembly procedures on page 73).

2.Remove the side access panel (see Removing the side access panel on page 75).

3.Remove the expansion card support (see Removing the expansion card support on page 77).

4.Raise the rear retention clamp by lifting the metal bar or the green lever as shown in the following figure .

5.Lift the slot cover straight up to remove it from the chassis 2.

TIP: Grasp the slot cover between two fingers—one from the inside of the chassis, and one from the outside.
