T1 PRI Channel Programming
If T1 PRI is programmed the default settings are as follows: -
The ISDN Signalling Protocol (Q931) is set to National ISDN 2.
The Line Build Out is set to

Programming the ISDN Signalling Protocol (Q931) on the T1 PRI
Two ISDN signalling protocols are supported, National ISDN 2 and AT&T 5ESS.

Note: The DMS Exchange equipment or DMS Central Office (ONLY) must have the L1 flag under the trunk sub group programmed to YES to avoid issues.
•From the programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “System Programming” is displayed.
•Select “System Programming”.
•Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “T1 (RBS) or PRI (ISDN)” is displayed.
•Select the “PRI (ISDN) ” option.
•Select the “Protocol (Q931) ” option.
•When Protocol (Q931) is selected the menu updates to show the two options “National ISDN 2” or “AT&T 5ESS”.
•Select the required option.
Programming the Line Build-Out for PRI
The Line
•From the programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.
• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “System Programming” is displayed.
•Select “System Programming”.
•Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “T1 (RBS) or PRI (ISDN)” is displayed.
•Select the “PRI (ISDN) ” option.
•Select the “Line Build Out” option.
•Select the required option from the display. The default setting is
Note: This option is presented for both the T1 (RBS) and the PRI programming.
Programming the Line Gain for PRI
•From the programming extension, press the PROGRAM key
• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “System Programming” is displayed.
•Select “System Programming”.
•Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.
• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “T1 (RBS) or PRI (ISDN)” is displayed.
•Select the “PRI (ISDN) option.
•Select the “Line Gain” option.
•The menu updates to show the available options.
•Select either “Low”, “Medium” or “High”. A solid diamond indicates the current setting.
