ROOM MONITOR
When an extension activates “Room Monitor” and leaves the phone off hook, extensions 20 and 21 can dial the extension number and are connected to it.
•Go off hook and select “Room Monitor”.
•Leave the phone off hook
Extensions 20 and 21 can call the phone and are connected directly to it.
All other extensions calling the extension are returned busy tone.
From a standard analog phone, dial 798 and remain off hook.
To cancel the facility, go on hook.
EXTENSION LOCK
This feature allows you to lock your extension to prevent unauthorized users from making external calls. You use a lock password to lock, unlock, or to make calls from a locked extension. The default lock password for all extensions is 123, but each extension can change its password. Extension lock passwords can be viewed from the programming extension.
Locked extensions cannot be used to dial emergency (911) calls. Make sure another phone is easily accessible in an emergency before you lock your phone.
To Lock Your Extension
• From the Idle Menu, press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “Extension Lock” is displayed.
