Switch equipped with a T1 interface

The menu showing the T1 lines programmed as available, in the “Equipped Lines” programming. If CO Lines are provided these are shown as lines 25-28 depending on the number equipped. “Outgoing Restriction” is programmed as follows: -

From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “System Programming” is displayed.

Select “System Programming”.

Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “Outgoing Restriction” is displayed.

Select “Outgoing Restriction” option.

The menu updates to show all T1 lines (Line 1 - Line 24) and the CO lines equipped (Line 25 - Line 28)

Select the required line.

The extension menu is displayed.

Select the extensions to be restricted from selecting the line for outgoing calls.

In default no restriction applies.

INCOMING CALLS ONLY WHEN T1 IS PROGRAMMED

If the T1 lines are programmed as E&M, Loop Start or Ground Start then all the lines are shown when “Incoming Calls Only” is selected.

From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “System Programming” is displayed.

Select “System Programming”.

Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “Incoming Calls Only” is displayed.

Select “Incoming Calls Only” option.

The menu updates to show all relevant T1 lines.

Select the required lines to be reserved for incoming calls only.

In default no lines are programmed.

Note: If any T1 lines are programmed as DID they are available as incoming only lines and are not presented on the display. They cannot be programmed to accept outgoing calls.

INCOMING CALLS ONLY WHEN PRI IS

PROGRAMMED

When Incoming only is selected when the switch is equipped with a PRI the display updates showing the B-Channels and CO lines.

From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “System Programming” is displayed.

Select “System Programming”.

Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “Incoming Calls Only” is displayed.

Select “Incoming Calls Only” option.

The menu updates to show all B channels and the back up CO lines

Select the required lines to be reserved for incoming calls only.

In default no lines are programmed.

Note: If 23 B-Channels are available and 10 lines are selected then a total of 13 B-Channels are available to extensions to select for outgoing calls.

If a user selects a Line key of a line that is set as Incoming only, busy tone is returned and the message 'Restricted' is shown on the display.
