If dial tone detection is turned off the line will be connected and digits dialled whether dial tone is present or not.

From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “System Programming” is displayed.

Select “System Programming”.

Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “PSTN Programming” is displayed.

Select “PSTN Programming”.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “Disable Dialtone Detect” is displayed.

Select “Dialtone Detection” The lines with “Dialtone Detection” programmed are indicated with a

“♦”.

Press the speakerphone key to finish programming.

Programming Long CO Line

This programming option allows the line impedance on the switch CO circuit to be adjusted. The Long CO line is the normal setting for standard business lines connected to the system. The alternative setting should be chosen in cases where the line impedance is resistive impedance. This is likely to be the case if the Lines being used are extension circuits off a parent PABX or an analog port on an ISDN T/A.

From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “System Programming” is displayed.

Select “System Programming”.

Enter the System Programming Password and select “Lines”.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “PSTN Programming” is displayed.

Select “PSTN Programming”.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “Long CO Line” is displayed. The Lines with Long CO line programmed are indicated with a “♦”. Press the speakerphone key to finish programming.

Enhanced Emergency Service E911

In some states it is a requirement that the extension that dialed an emergency number is identified to the Emergency Services. This is achieved by setting the E 911 service on for the system.

From the Programming extension, press the PROGRAM key.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “System Programming” is displayed.

Select “System Programming”.

Enter the System Programming Password and select “System”.

• Press the Scroll Down key ( ) until “911& extension number” is displayed.

Select the “On” option.

Press the speakerphone key to finish programming.
