Toinstall the switch in the rackor cabinet (see Figure 50 on page 146 and Figure 51 on
page147):
CAUTION: Ifyou are installing morethan one switch in a rack or cabinet, install the first
oneat the bottom of the rack. Do not attempt to installa switch manually in an upper
positionin a rack or cabinet.
1. Ensurethat the rack or cabinet is placed in its permanent locationand is secured to
thebuilding.
2. Positionthe switchin front of the rack or cabinet, centering it in front of the adjustable
mountingbrackets. Use a pallet jack if one is available.
3. Withone person on each side and one person in the rear, holdthe bottom of the
chassisand carefully lift it onto the adjustable mounting bracketsinstalled in a
four-postrack or onto the power cord trayinstalled in a two-post rack. See Figure
49on page 145.
WARNING: Topreventinjury, keep your back straight and lift with your legs,not your
back.Do not twist your body as you lift. Balance the load evenlyand be sure that your
footingis firm.

4. Ina four-post rack, carefullyslide the switch onto the adjustable mounting brackets
untilthe front-mounting brackets attachedto the chassis contact the rack rails. The
