USBPort Specifications for an EX Series Switch

Thefollowing Juniper Networks USB flashdrives have been tested and are officially
supportedfor the USB port on all EX Series switches:
RE-USB-1G-S
RE-USB-2G-S
RE-USB-4G-S
CAUTION: AnyUSB memory product not listed as supported forEX Series switches
hasnot been tested by Juniper Networks. Theuse of any unsupported USB memory
productcouldexpose your EX Series switch to unpredictablebehavior. Juniper Networks
TechnicalAssistanceCenter (JTAC) can provideonly limited support for issues related
tounsupported hardware. We stronglyrecommend that you use only supported USB
flashdrives.
AllUSB flash drives used on EX Series switches must havethe following features:
USB2.0 or later.
Formattedwith a FATor MS-DOS file system.
Ifthe switch is running Junos OS Release 9.5or earlier, the formatting method must
usea master boot record.Windows formatting, by default,does not use a master boot
record.See the documentation for yourUSB flash drive for information on how your
USBflash drive is formatted.
