[PRE-REC]

[ON]/[OFF]

This allows the recording of an image and audio to start before you press the recording start/stop button. AVCHD scenes will be recorded from approximately 3 seconds before the operation, while MOV/MP4 will be recorded from approximately 4 seconds before the operation.

PRE-RECappears on the screen.

Aim the unit at the subject beforehand.

There is no beep sound.

This function is not available in the following cases: jDuring the Interval Recording

jWhen [2 SLOTS FUNC.] is set to [BACKGROUND] (l 143)

jWhen the Wi-Fi function is turned on by pressing the USER button to which [Wi-Fi] is registered. (l 69)

PRE-REC is canceled in the following cases.

jPress the USER button to which [Wi-Fi] is registered, and turn on the Wi-Fi function. jAfter 3 hours have passed

Even when [PRE-REC] is set to [ON], if the length of time from when you display the recording screen or set this unit to Recording Mode by turning it on or pressing the THUMBNAIL button to when you start recording is too short, a 3 second image prior to the recording of an AVCHD scene or a 4 second image prior to the recording of an MOV/MP4 scene may not be recorded.

Images displayed on the thumbnail in Playback Mode will differ from the motion pictures displayed at the start of playback.

You can record images even in the dark by setting this item to [ON].

appears on the screen.

The iris, gain, and shutter speed are adjusted automatically.

When [SLOW SHUTTER] is set to [ON], the shutter speed will be automatically adjusted to 1/30, 1/24 or 1/25. (l 148)

If you set [INFRARED LIGHT] to [ON], will be displayed on the screen. The light allows you to record images in the dark. (l 69, 152)

Set [INFRARED LIGHT] to [OFF] when it is hard to achieve focus with Auto Focus, for example when recording in a dim place.

It is recommended to use a tripod.

It takes longer to focus with Auto Focus in dark locations.

Do not use this function in a bright location. Doing so may cause malfunction.

Do not cover the infrared light with your hand or other object.

The maximum distance that the infrared light can reach is approximately 3 m.

You can record a clear image by positioning the center area of the screen over the subject.

The following operations cancel the [INFRARED REC] setting: jTurning off this unit
