Cables

The ACCULINK Models 3160/3164 DSU/CSUs are shipped with a power transformer and a VF cable. Various other interconnecting cables are available from the company. These cables have a company feature number assigned to them (see Appendix H, Equipment List). Cables that are listed, but have no feature number, must be customer-supplied. This appendix describes the cable pin assignments for both company cables and customer-supplied cables. You can use this information should you need to build your own cables.

Model 3161 DSU/CSU interface connections are described in the COMSPHERE 3000 Series Carrier Installation Manual, with the rest of the installation instructions for the Model 3161 DSU/CSU.

T1 Network Connector Interface

The T1 line interface cable is 20-foot, 24 AWG solid, 2-twisted pair cable with an RJ48C, plug unkeyed connector (Figures D-1 and D-2). The T1 network interface connector is an RJ48C, 8-position, unkeyed modular jack (Tables D-1 and D-2).
