If you press DISPLAY with DISPLAY set to V-OUT/LCD in the menu settings, the picture from a TV or VCR will not appear on the LCD screen even when your camcorder is connected to outputs on the TV or VCR.

In more than five minutes after removing the power supply

The “PROGRAM AE”, “AUDIO MIX”, “COMMANDER”, “HiFi SOUND”, and “WHT BAL” settings are returned to their factory settings.

Other menu settings are held in memory even when the battery is removed.

When recording a close subject

When REC LAMP is set to ON, the red camera recording lamp on the front of the camcorder may

242reflect on the subject if it is close. In this case, we recommend that you set REC LAMP to OFF.
