The subcommands in TABLE H-17manage the SP host and domain.

SubcommandDescription

sp get hostname Displays the current host name and optionally the domain name of the SP.

sp set hostname Resets the host name or domain name of the SP to the specified name.

SP Get Hostname Subcommand

Description: Displays the current host name and optionally the domain name of the SP. This name is used by many of the networking programs to identify the machine. It is also used to identify a logging subdirectory for event logs.

Format

Command format:

sp get hostname [-f --fqdn]
