2 Getting to know the Wide Format Copy System

CAUTION: Powering down the system incorrectly may result in data corruption and a service call. The system shutdown procedure below allows the controller to power down correctly. Shutdown is best performed through the Web Printer Management Tool or the control panel’s System Administration menu’s [Shutdown] feature. Only authorized persons should power down the system fully.

Powering Off the System

1.Ensure that all jobs have finished processing.

2.Select [Shutdown] from either the User Interface Control Panel or from the Web Print Management Tool.

From the control panel

1.Press the <Log In/Out> button, enter the System Administration password, and then select the [Shutdown] button.

2.Select [System Administrator Log In].

3.Enter the System Administrator Password when the Password Screen displays.

4.Select [Shutdown] on the System Administrator Menu Screen.

5.Select [Shutdown] on the Shutdown Screen.

6.The [Power Off] screen will display briefly on the control panel, and then the control panel and the printer will shut down.

7.The controller will complete its shutdown within 30 seconds from the moment the control panel and printer shut down. The controller’s power button indicator light will go out when the controller completes its shutdown.

8.Move the printer power switch to the off position.

9.Move the printer circuit breaker switch to the off position.

From the Web Printer Management Tool

1.Select [Utilities > Shutdown > Shutdown].

2.The control panel, printer, and controller will undergo the same power down process as described above.

3.Move the printer power switch to the off position.

4.Move the printer circuit breaker switch to the off position.
