What is finalization?
ÖFinalization is the last process in recording a
ÖOnce a disc is finalized recording or skip ID manipulation is no longer possible. Please ensure the disc is in its final form before commencing finalization.
ÖIf the power supply is interrupted during finalization, the disc may be unusable.
Finalization procedure
1 Load a recorded (but not finalized) CD-R or CD- RW disc.
ÖEnsure that there are no scratches, dust or marks on the disc. If there are any marks clean the disc. (As described on page 22.)
2 Press the FINALIZE button. The unit enters the
ÖThe displayed time for finalization varies depending on the disc.
ÖFinalization can be canceled by pressing the STOP button.
ÖThe process will be canceled automatically if no further actions are taken within 10 minutes.
3 Press the 8 (PAUSE) button to start the finalization procedure.
ÖThe time finalization will take to complete is displayed. Usually within about 4 minutes.

CAUTION:
ÖOnce the finalization process has started no other operation is possible.
ÖIf the disc is marked or scratched, the finalization process may not be completed.
If the finalization process is not complete within 10 minutes the operation can be cancelled by pressing the STOP button. The disc will not be finalized and will not play in a normal CD player.
ÖNEVER disconnect the power during finalization.
