PC Printing

Printer Emulation

If you are printing from the Windows environment, it is best to choose the GDI Brother MFC-730 or MFC-740 Series printer driver. Other emulations may reduce performance. If you need to print from DOS, the MFC will emulate EPSON LQ-510, LQ-850 and LQ-2550.

Using the Maintenance Utility Program for Printing from DOS (Only for MFC-740)

Before printing from DOS applications, you must use this DOS utility and select the paper size. You can make the following selections through the utility program.
