1.6 Overview of Installation and Setup Tasks

Setup tasks described in this manual

This manual contains instructions for all installation and operation tasks relating to the Analyzer/Controller. (Instructions for installing and using the cells are provided in the manuals supplied with the cells.) Table 1-3 provides an overview of the Analyzer/Controller installation tasks, as well as providing references to the relevant sections of the manual.

Task

Consider the environmental and electrical specs when selecting a site to install the Analyzer/Controller.

Unpack, inspect and mount the unit.

Check tag to confirm that unit is compatible with the voltage at your site.

Install power wiring.

Perform I/O setup and configure the software to implement your control strategy.

Wire inputs and outputs to match I/O setup in Step 5.

If AutoClean will be used, install necessary piping and valves.

Configure a tagname or other text string to be displayed at the top of the screens showing real-time process values.

To limit access to I/O setup, configuration, calibration, and maintenance functions, enter a password.

Display model number stored in memory and software version number. Note these for future reference. (If you call for technical assistance, you will need this information.)
