7Clips and Stills

7.1Making and Saving a Clip

Definition

A clip is a copy of video, audio or data. A clip is made during a live session or a retrieval session. Clips are listed on the Clips action tab. See figure 66.

Purpose of clips

After using View to make clips, you can:

•view portions of video without having to connect to a site

•review clips at a later time

•copy clips to other computers. How to check folders for clips is explained in 7.2.

•view clips on computers not running Multi software, using Clip Player.
