
Reinstalling or Updating Drivers (Windows NT 4.0)
IMPORTANT: To uninstall or reinstall modem or LAN drivers in Windows NT 4.0, you must log in to Windows NT with Administrator privileges.
To update or reinstall modem and LAN drivers:
■First, uninstall the currently loaded modem drivers.
■Second, uninstall the currently loaded LAN drivers.
■Third, reinstall Windows NT Networking (if required).
■Fourth, install or restore the LAN drivers.
■Fifth, install or restore the modem drivers.
Uninstalling Modem and LAN Drivers:
(Windows NT 4.0)
To uninstall modem drivers—
1.Select Start⊕Settings⊕Control Panel, then
2.Select Compaq 56K (V.90) Mini PCI from the list of programs.
3.Select the Add/Remove button.
4.Select Yes to confirm the removal.
5.If you are prompted to restart the computer, select No.
6.Select OK to close the Add/Remove Programs window.
To uninstall LAN drivers—
1.In the Control Panel window,
2.Select Intel PRO/100+ Mini PCI, then select Remove.
3.Select Yes to continue.
4.Select Yes to confirm the file removal.
5.Restart the computer.
