Chapter 8. Hardware Problem Determination
This chapter provides information about using standalone or online diagnostics to help you solve hardware problems.
Problem Determination Using the Standalone or Online Diagnostics
Use this procedure to obtain a service request number (SRN) when you are able to load the standalone or online diagnostics. If you are unable to load the standalone or online diagnostics, go to ªProblem Determination When Unable to Load Diagnosticsº on page 164. The service organization uses the SRN to determine which field replaceable units (FRUs) are needed to restore the system to correct operation.
