Host Alias (optional)

The alias for a host is a customer supplied nickname for that host. This is an optional ®eld and may be left blank if an alias is not desired. This entry ®eld will only accept alpha-numeric characters and the ª.º character.

Host Transaction Program Name

Speci®es the name of the LAN transaction program that runs on the host to receive data from the Library Manager. This entry ®eld will only accept alpha-numeric characters and the ª/º character. Blank spaces are not valid.

For example, if the host is VSE/ESA, the default transaction program name is VSE1LCA.

Host Network ID

Speci®es the name of the remote network in which the adjacent control point (the host) resides. This entry ®eld will only accept alpha-numeric characters and theª@º, ª#º, and ª$º characters. Blank spaces are not valid.

The Common Programming Interface (CPI) - Communications

partner_LU_name of the host, consists of the host remote network identi®er and the host remote location. For example, if the host partner_LU_name is USIBMSU.VSE1LCA, then the Host Network ID is USIBMSU.

Host Location Name

Speci®es the remote location name (of the host) to which the 3494 will communicate. This entry ®eld will only accept alpha-numeric characters and the ª@º, ª#º, and ª$º characters. Blank spaces are not valid.

partner_LU_name of the host, consists of the remote network identi®er and the remote location. For example, if the host partner_LU_name is USIBMSU.VSE1LCA, then the Host Location Name is VSE1LCA.
