Switch Active Library Manager to Standby

Note: This selection is only available when the high availability model is installed and the standby library manager is enabled.

The switch active library manager to standby option allows the operator to manually switch the active library to become the standby library manager. To process the switch over, the active library manager must be offline and in pause mode. The switch takes approximately ®ve minutes to complete. The library manager may prompt the operator for the administrator password (see Figure 50).

The library manager then asks for the operator for con®rmation before continuing with the switch over (see Figure 51).

During the switch over, the library manager displays the standby pop-up window (see Figure 52 on page 106).
