	Formatting the Memory Card (Format)

The Format function works only in M.Player Mode. page 26

You can use the Format functions to completely delete all images and options on the Memory Card, including protected images.

The Format function restores the Memory Card to its initial state.

Mit der Funktion Formatieren können Sie alle auf der Speicherkarte gespeicherten Bilder und Optionen löschen. Dabei werden auch die mit Löschschutz versehenen Bilder gelöscht.

Mit der Funktion Formatieren wird die Speicherkarte in ihren ursprünglichen Zustand zurückversetzt.

Attention

 If you execute the Format function, all images will be erased completely and erased images cannot be recovered.

1. Set the [Mode] switch to [CARD].

2. Set the [Power] switch to [ (Player)].

 The thumbnail index of photo images appears. If there are no recorded images on the Memory Card, <No file!> is displayed.

3. Press the [MENU] button.

 The menu list will appear.

4. Move the [Joystick] up or down to select <Memory>, then press the [Joystick].

5. Move the [Joystick] up or down to select <Format>, then press the [Joystick].

 The <Format? All files will be deleted!> message will appear.

6. Move the [Joystick] to the left or right to select <Yes>, then press the [Joystick].

 The <Complete!> message will appear when the formatting is completed.

Notes

You can directly access the Format function by using the [Q.MENU]. page 27

If you execute the Format function, all photo/moving images will be erased completely.

Erased photo/moving images cannot be recovered.

Formatting the Memory Card using a different device will cause Memory Card read errors.

Do not turn the power off in the middle of the formatting.

A Memory Card with the protection tab set to save will not be formatted. page 89

Do not format the Memory Card on a PC. Not formatted! message may appear if a Memory Card formatted on a PC is inserted.

Achtung

Wenn Sie die Funktion Formatieren ausführen, werden alle Bilder unwiderruflich gelöscht. Sie können nicht wiederhergestellt werden.

1.Stellen Sie den Moduswahlschalter auf [CARD].

2. Stellen Sie den Betriebsart-Wählerauf [ (Player)]

Der Miniaturindex für Einzelbilder wird angezeigt. Wenn auf der Speicherkarte keine Bilder vorhanden sind, wird <No file!> (Keine Datei!) angezeigt.

3.Drücken Sie die Taste [MENU].

Das Menü wird angezeigt.

4.Wählen Sie mit dem [Joystick] die Option <Memory> (Speicher), und drücken Sie anschließend den [Joystick].

5.Wählen Sie mit dem [Joystick] die Option <Format> (Formatieren), und drücken Sie anschließend den [Joystick].

Die Meldung <Format? All files will be deleted!> (Format? Alle Dat. werd. gelöscht!) wird angezeigt.

6.Markieren Sie mit dem [Joystick] die Option <Yes> (Ja), und drücken Sie anschließend den [Joystick].

Die Meldung <Complete!> (Vollständig!) wird angezeigt, wenn die Formatierung beendet ist.

Über die Taste [Q.MENU] können Sie direkt auf die Funktion Formatieren zugreifen. Seite 27

Wenn Sie die Funktion Formatieren ausführen, werden alle Einzelbilder und Videoclips unwiderruflich gelöscht. Sie können nicht wiederhergestellt werden.

Formatieren der Speicherkarte in einem anderen Gerät führt zu Lesefehlern.

Schalten Sie das Gerät während des Formatierungsvorgangs keinesfalls aus.

Eine mit Löschschutz versehene Speicherkarte kann nicht formatiert werden. Seite 89

Formatieren Sie die Speicherkarte nicht auf einem Computer. Not formatted! (Nicht formatiert!) wird unter Umständen angezeigt, wenn die eingelegte Speicherkarte auf einem Computer formatiert wurde.
