8.Using remote access to the printer

You can access the printer remotely from the client using one of two methods:

telnet

Web-based user interface

Using telnet

You can access the printer controller remotely from any client computer that supports the telnet protocol. To establish a telnet connection, refer to your workstation documentation.

Once established a telnet connection, you can use most user interface commands that do not require physical interaction with the system such as loading media.

To log off the remote connection, enter Quit Connection or q.

Using the Web-based user interface

You can use a Web-based user interface to display information about the printer and your jobs. The Web-based interface is accessible through a Web browser on any client computer that has network access to the printer.
