Installing the RAID Controller

If you are adding the DAC960PDU controller to an existing system, you must install and cable the controller. Refer to The Installing an Option Board section in the Upgrades and Options chapter of this guide to install the controller. Once you have installed the controller, perform the following cabling procedure.

1.Power off the system.

2.Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this chapter.

3.Remove both side panels as described in Chapter 5 “Removing a Side Panel”.

4.Carefully remove the ultra wide SCSI interface cable connector from its connector on the top of the system board (see Figure A-1, J).
