Quick Setup Wizards

4.1 Quick Setup Overview

The Web Configurator's quick setup wizards help you configure Internet and VPN connection settings. This chapter provides information on configuring the quick setup screens in the Web Configurator. See the feature-specific chapters in this User’s Guide for background information.

In the Web Configurator, click Configuration > Quick Setup to open the first Quick Setup screen.

•WAN Interface

Click this link to open a wizard to set up a WAN (Internet) connection. This wizard creates matching ISP account settings in the ZyWALL if you use PPPoE or PPTP. See Section 4.2 on page 43.

•VPN SETUP

Use VPN Setup to configure a VPN (Virtual Private Network) rule for a secure connection to another computer or network. Use VPN Settings for Configuration Provisioning to set up a VPN rule that can be retrieved with the ZyWALL IPSec VPN Client. You only need to enter a user name, password and the IP address of the ZyWALL in the ZyWALL IPSec VPN Client to get all VPN settings automatically from the ZyWALL. See Section 4.3 on page 48.

4.2WAN Interface Quick Setup

Click WAN Interface in the main Quick Setup screen to open the WAN Interface Quick Setup Wizard Welcome screen. Use these screens to configure an interface to connect to the Internet. Click Next.
