Configuring Cable Cable diagnostics perform basic connectivity tests on copper cables. The
Diagnostics tests use Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology to test the quality and characteristics of a copper cable attached to a port.

Viewing Cable The Cable Diagnostics Summary Page contains fields for viewing tests on
Diagnostics copper cables. Cable testing provides information about where errors occurred in the cable, and the last time a cable test was performed.
To view cables diagnostics:
1Click Monitoring > Cable Diagnostics > Summary. The Cable Diagnostics Summary Page opens:

The Cable Diagnostics Summary Page contains the following fields:
■Port — Indicates the port to which the cable is connected.
■Test Result — Displays the cable test results. Possible values are: ■ OK — Indicates that the cable passed the test.
