Default Users and If you intend to manage the switch or to change the default passwords,

Changing Default Passwords

Use the admin default user name (no password) to log in and carry out initial switch setup.

You can change the default passwords using either:

The username command on the CLI, or

The Administration > System Access > Modify operation on the web interface.

Upgrading Software using the

CLI

This section describes how to upgrade software to your switch from the Command Line Interface (CLI).

Note: You can also upgrade the software using the switch Web user interface. See “Restoring the Software Image” page 197. Bootcode can only be upgraded using the CLI, for which instructions are supplied in the release notes.
