Configuring System Network administrators can define users, passwords, and access levels for

Accessusers using the System Access Interface. The Multi-Session web feature is enabled on device and allows 16 users to be created and access the switch concurrently. Access levels provide read or read/write permissions to users for configuring the switch. Login information is managed in the local database. A unique password is required of each user. Two access levels exist on the 3Com Web Interface:

■Management access level — Provides the user with read/write access. There is always one management level user configured for the switch. The factory default user name is: admin with no password.

■Monitor access level — Provides the user with read-only system access.
