Creating User Entries The Local Database User Setup Page allows the network administrator to configure user name/password entries in the local database.

Monitor users have no access to this page.

To create user entries in the Local Database:

1Click Port > Local Database > User Setup. The Local Database User Setup Page opens:

The Local Database User Setup Page contains the following fields:

Create a User

User Name — The name of a user to be authorized restricted network access through local database authentication. String length is 6-12 characters (case sensitive), and the maximum number of users is 250.

Password — The authentication password for the corresponding user. String length is 6-12 characters (case sensitive).

Confirm Password — Verifies the password.

Summary

User Name — Displays the users stored in the local database.

2Define the fields for a user.

3Click . The entry is added to the Local Database, and the device is updated.
