Configuration Example

Network requirements

As shown in Figure 3-2, assume current user logs in using the oap connect slot 0 command, and the user level is set to the manage level (level 3). Perform the following configurations for users logging in to VTY 0 using Telnet.

Authenticate users using the local password. Set the local password to 123456 (in plain text). Commands of level 2 are available to the users. Telnet protocol is supported.

The screen can contain up to 30 lines.

The history command buffer can contain up to 20 commands. The timeout time of VTY 0 is 6 minutes.
