System rack installation

The Altos G900 server system is available in both rack-mount and tower configuration. A rack mount kit is available for customers who want to convert a tower-mounted system to rack-model design. To purchase a rack mount kit, contact your local Acer representative or order directly from www.acer.com.tw.

The figure below shows the Altos G900 server in a rack-mount and tower position.

Important: When installing or removing the server from the rack, use an appropriate mechanical assist unit to lift and move the server.

The rack conversion kit for the Altos G900 server platform contains the following items:
