Remote Maintenance
Remote Maintenance is an optional application for the MERLIN LEGEND Intuity system. While it is possible to use the “pass through” capability of the System Programming and Maintenance Utility (SPM) for remote maintenance, this usually requires operator assistance to do so. The Remote Maintenance option provides simpler operation and a higher level of service.
The Remote Maintenance Modem must be connected to Serial Port 2 (COM2). If Serial Port 2 (COM2) is already in use, you must do the following:
1.Move the device (if any) connected to Serial Port 2 (COM2) to the first available port on the
2.Readminister the application formerly using Serial Port 2 (COM2) to use the serial port now connected on the
3.Connect the Remote Maintenance Modem to Serial Port 2 (COM2).
