Administering Automatic Route Selection (ARS)

The procedures in this section show you how to define ARS patterns and lists. If you do not define these patterns and lists, then ARS calls will be routed over the local CO facility. For more information about making ARS choices, see the Reference Manual.

To administer ARS, begin 1 From the Main Menu prompt, enter 11. with this step

Assign ARS Access Code Note This dial code accesses ARS routing. 1 At Action = , enter 4 0 1 .

2 At Data = , enter the ARS access code. The default is 9 .

Assign ARS pattern for

1 At Action = , enter 4 0 2 .

international dialing

2 At Data = , enter the routing pattern to be used for

 

 

international dialing. The default is 0 (none).

Assign emergency

Up to three seven-digit emergency telephone numbers (ETN)

telephone numbers

may be assigned. ARS calls to these numbers are routed over

 

the local CO facility. No restrictions of any kind are enforced.

 

1 At Action = , enter 601, 602, or 6 0 3 .

 

2 At Data = , enter the ETN.
