Configuring an HP Server Running the HP-UX Operating System

This appendix provides platform-specific host installation and configuration information to use when you connect a FC or SATA array to an HP server running the HP-UX operating system.

The FC, SATA, and SATA SE arrays support the HP-UX operating system Level 11.0 and Level 11.i in dual-path configurations using multipath failover drivers for the HP- UX operating system.

I.1 Setting Up a Serial Port Connection

The RAID controller can be configured by means of a host system running a VT100 terminal emulation program or by a Microsoft Windows terminal emulation program such as Hyperterminal.
