INFO MENU – DISPLAYING

BASIC SYSTEM INFORMATION

The Info menu is a display only menu that provides the conﬁguration information for your notebook.

Table 3-19 shows the names of the menu ﬁelds for the Info menu,all the options for each ﬁeld, the default settings and a descrip tion of the ﬁeld’s function and any special information needed to help understand the ﬁeld’s use.

P O I N T

The Asset Number is an optional user- entered ﬁeld. An Asset Number can be entered through the use of third party software, such as LANdesk Client Manager.

This means that the ﬂoppy disk drive type identiﬁed in your Setup Utility does not agree with the type detected by the Power On Self Test POST. Run the Setup Utility to correct the inconsistency #*Previous boot incomplete - Default con- ﬁguration used - Previous Power On Self Test POST did not complete successfully. Power On Self Test POST loads default values and offers to run Setup. If the failure was caused by incorrect values and they are not corrected,the next boot will likely fail also.
