6.4Dialing

The recipient’s fax number can be dialed using any of the seven different dialing methods described below.

The procedures described below assume that the fax is being sent using the Automatic Document Feeder.

Sending international faxes:

If the country code and recipient’s fax number are entered immediately after the prefix for making an international call, not enough time may be allowed for making the connection, making the fax number seem busy. If this is the case, press the [Redial/Pause] key twice before entering the country code and fax number so that there is a pause of about 6 seconds after the prefix for international calls is dialed. If a connection still cannot be made, send the fax manually (p. 7-1).
